TOP 5 reasons why people don't go to church
Reason 1. Church is boring
Answer: Most peoples view point of church is often very dated and stems from a religous experience rather than an actual encounter with God. A modern church like the Gate is never boring because no two meetings are ever the same. We believe in loving God passionately and living our life to the full.
Reason 2. People in churches are hypocrites.
Answer: The truth is that all people at some point have been hypocritical whether inside or outside a church. The difference with living the Christian life is that we believe our lives are to be modelled on Christs example and that means our lives should be changing so that we can be better equiped to love one another.
Reason 3. I don’t have enough time.
Answer: In our modern culture it often brings a busy lifestyle. Fortunately we have many meetings going on throughout the week, so if you can't make it on a Sunday feel free to contact us and we can give you more information on our mid week meetings. Mid-week meetings usually last about an hour in total.
Reason 4. I don’t have nice clothes to wear to church.
Answer: Most people come just as they are (Hats are not required). So you should fit right in!
Reason 5: I’m not good enough to go to church.
Answer: The bible says that "All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and are justified freely by his grace". So If you feel that you are not good enough, come and experience the grace of God that can change your heart.
Id like to go to church but I don’t know anyone, or how to get there.
